@senjihisashi celebrates his 50th birthday and half his life at Bar Gyu! He started the bar at 24 with his last penny, working all day as a ski instructor and all night at the bar. The bar has changed over the years, as we spend our summers updating and renovating but the essence is always the same. Hisashi’s touches can be seen all throughout the bar, from the hand drawn menus to the quirky decorations. Now days he can be mostly seen behind the DJ decks, spinning his favorite records and occasionally having a drink with our long standing regulars.

Bar Gyu is 26 seasons old! We are constantly touched by all the experiences, opportunities and wonderful people this tiny little bar has been able to give us. Thank you 🙏
