What We Do
Space Applications Centre (SAC) is one of the major centres of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). SAC focuses on the design of space-borne instruments for ISRO missions and development and operationalisation of applications of space technology for societal benefits. The applications cover communication, broadcasting, navigation, disaster monitoring, meteorology, oceanography, environment monitoring and natural resources survey.

Announcement of first Post-Launch User Meet on NISAR Science and Utilization Programme, March 27, 2026, SAC-Ahmedabad.
The User Meet is planned to apprise the user community, especially the NISAR-UP investigators about the updates on NISAR.
Major goals for the User Meet are:
❑ To update the science community about the NISAR data products and data release plans
❑ To provide guidelines for NISAR Utilization Projects
❑ To provide information about NISAR data access and data analysis tools
❑ To plan for optimum utilization of NISAR data through broader and more diverse participation in the NISAR science community
