Gung Fu Tea Experience 🍵
Join us for Tea, in the style of a Chinese gung fu tea gathering
Friday's at 5pm.
Gongfu tea or kung fu tea (Chinese: 工夫茶 or 功夫茶; both gōngfū chá), literally "making tea with skill", is a traditional Chinese tea preparation method sometimes called a "tea ceremony". It is probably based on the tea preparation approaches originating in Fujian and the Chaoshan area of eastern Guangdong.

Friday Drop-In Pickleball @ Manzano Mesa.
Please at least be versed in the basic rules, if you are a beginner that has never played.
Meet at the champion court, by the bathrooms.
Even though it's drop in when you can, the earlier our members can get there, the better we have a chance of claiming more courts that are close to each other.
**A Different Format - Please Read:**
What does "drop-in" mean? When you RSVP to the event, you ain't gotta be there right at the start. Stop by whenever and leave when you're ready. I will be there for at least the minimum time posted. Do RSVP so I have an idea of how many to expect, and it's good for the meetup group to track participation.
**Play Format:**
I need yall's help to keep play fair and fluid for all members. If there are members waiting to be rotated in, the 2 players that just lost in the current game rotate out to wait in line. The first 2 players waiting in line then rotate in, and the players that just won the game stay on court but split up. Holler at me if you need clarification.
**What to Expect:**
Casual pickleball for all levels; total beginners welcome.
This venue is outdoors; if the weather turns, the event may be canceled. Please watch the event page and check your email for updates. We use public courts, and it’s not unusual to wait for court space to become available.
**What to Bring:**
* Paddle
* Balls
* Weather appropriate clothing
* Hydration
* Non-marking court shoes
**Important:** If for any reason you are unable to attend, please update your RSVP. Thanks!

The Stranger by Albert Camus
Published in 1942 by French author Albert Camus, *The Stranger* has long been considered a classic of twentieth-century literature. *Le Monde* ranks it as number one on its "100 Books of the Century" list. Through this story of an ordinary man unwittingly drawn into a senseless murder on a sundrenched Algerian beach, Camus explores what he termed "the nakedness of man faced with the absurd."
Waking the Heart
The pathway towards awakening wends its way through the depths of our hearts. But our glimpses of the heart are fleeting. Join us to explore how to wake the heart and keep it open, through the powerful avenues of poetry, music, imagery, and text.
*"If one learns to listen to the heart, it will tell one things so clearly—what must be done, what must not be done, the real nature of people, places, and things. Only it speaks so quietly, so subtly, and immediately a flood of reactions, explanations, excuses, theories have swamped it, and we do not even recognise it speak. Only listening carefully to what it wants to say, and remaining still until it has spoken, one cannot really do the wrong thing."*
\~ Rodney Collin, from *The Theory of Conscious Harmony,* Chapter on *Heart*

Resilient Fertility April Session
A guided and facilitated container with tools, rituals, and transformation for those struggling to conceive or have experienced loss.
Monthly 90-minute guided circle that not only consists of sharing, but facilitated with tools, practices, and structure.
• Nervous system support + resilience practices
(breathwork, grounding, perspective shifts)
• Nourishing elements at each session
(bone broth, raspberry leaf tea, simple grounding rituals)
Instead of being consumed by the stress, learn how to:
• process it
• regulate my nervous system
• build resilience in real time
The tools I built during infertility were what allowed me to actually show up for motherhood in the most empowered, grounded, and authentic way.
Empire Board Game Library Presents: Dukes of Dice Board Game Night
Albuquerque's premier board game cafe, Empire Board Game Library, presents The Dukes of Dice Board Game Night every Wednesday evening from 6 pm to closing time.
While gamers of all experience levels are welcome, this event is focused on learning and playing modern games ranging from family games like ***Casdcadia*** and ***Quacks*** to more complex hobby games like ***Brass: Birmingham*** and ***Bruxelles 1893***. Basically, don't expect to play classics like ***Monopoly*** (or even ***Catan.)***
This is an amazing opportunity to not only play new and complex games but also to meet other people who enjoy the hobby.
It's just $7 for the whole evening, rather than Empire's typical $4/hour rate.
Empire has a kitchen with sandwiches, desserts, and snacks, as well as a robust drink menu including local coffee & espresso.
Cardio Hike: Piedra Lisa South (4 miles) (Headlamp)
Join me on this hike up Piedra Lisa South to the saddle about 2 miles in to a dedicated turnaround point. At approximately 7:10pm we still starting heading back down and gather anyone maintaining a slower pace on the way. Please see the bottom of the description for a link to a roughly equivalent AllTrails hike.
Please bring a headlamp or flashlight since we will be hiking somewhat in the dark on the way down.
Piedra Lisa trailhead is off Forest Service Rd 333. Instead of making a right to head towards La Luz trailhead, you go straight and follow the dirt road until the trailhead parking lot on the left.
**Distance**: 4 miles
**Elevation gain**: 1,200 feet
⚠ **Parking Fee**: None
Cardio hikes are designed for all paces. The goal is to have the opportunity to improve fitness and prepare for longer day hikes. You will likely find hikers with a similar pace, but may also find yourself hiking alone, particularly if you have not been hiking recently. Being familiar with the trail in advance is strongly encouraged. Please contact me directly or post in the comments if you have questions.

The Four Powers of Life: Numbers as Energy in Motion
**The Four Powers of Life: Understanding the Numbers as Energy in Motion**
What if every tarot reading could be understood through four simple forces that shape human experience?
In our last gathering, we explored the **Four Powers of Life**—Act, Care, Understand, and Build—and how they show up through the tarot suits of Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles.
Now we take the next step.
In this Tarot Tribe session, we’ll explore how the Minor Arcana numbers (Ace through Ten) reveal the **movement of energy within those domains**.
Together we’ll explore:
🌱 Ace – Emergence
What is just beginning to appear?
⚖️ Two – Tension
Where are opposing forces asking for balance or choice?
🔥 Three – Activation
What is starting to move and take form?
🧱 Four – Stabilization
What has become structured—for now?
⚡ Five – Disruption
What is no longer holding as it once did?
🔄 Six – Realignment
How is the situation adjusting and restoring balance?
🧭 Seven – Testing
Where are you being challenged to take a stand?
🎯 Eight – Engagement
What requires focused effort and sustained attention?
🧠 Nine – Integration
What is coming together beneath the surface?
🌍 Ten – Denouement
What result is now visible?
### A special focus on the Fives
We’ll take a closer look at the Fives—often interpreted as “loss”—and explore how they can be understood instead as **disruption**, a natural and necessary phase of change.
### What you’ll take away
* A clear understanding of the number sequence as a living process
* A simple way to interpret any numbered card
* A practical method for recognizing what phase you’re in
* Hands-on experience applying the learning to real situations
* Insightful discussion with fellow tarot enthusiasts
* A handout containing the spread and key ideas.
Whether you’re new to tarot or have been reading for years, this session will offer a practical way to see how energy, values, understanding, and real-world action underpin the stories revealed in the cards.
Through tarot, together we’ll discover how these four powers and energy phases interact in our lives.
This approach can bring surprising clarity to readings and help you see familiar cards in a fresh new way.
**All experience levels are welcome.**
Bring a tarot deck if you have one. (We have loaners in case you don't.)
Bring a sweater or light jacket in case the room temperature is cool.
You are welcome to bring beverages in sealable containers and snacks.
Seat cushions are recommended (the chairs are metal).
Tarot Tribe gatherings are relaxed, friendly, and exploratory — a space for tarot enthusiasts to learn together, share insights, and deepen their connection with the cards.
**Registration Information:**
**Cost:** $10
