Gung Fu Tea Experience 🍵
Join us for Tea, in the style of a Chinese gung fu tea gathering
Friday's at 5pm.
Gongfu tea or kung fu tea (Chinese: 工夫茶 or 功夫茶; both gōngfū chá), literally "making tea with skill", is a traditional Chinese tea preparation method sometimes called a "tea ceremony". It is probably based on the tea preparation approaches originating in Fujian and the Chaoshan area of eastern Guangdong.
Friday Drop-In Pickleball @ Manzano Mesa.
Please at least be versed in the basic rules, if you are a beginner that has never played.
Meet at the champion court, by the bathrooms.
Even though it's drop in when you can, the earlier our members can get there, the better we have a chance of claiming more courts that are close to each other.
**A Different Format - Please Read:**
What does "drop-in" mean? When you RSVP to the event, you ain't gotta be there right at the start. Stop by whenever and leave when you're ready. I will be there for at least the minimum time posted. Do RSVP so I have an idea of how many to expect, and it's good for the meetup group to track participation.
**Play Format:**
I need yall's help to keep play fair and fluid for all members. If there are members waiting to be rotated in, the 2 players that just lost in the current game rotate out to wait in line. The first 2 players waiting in line then rotate in, and the players that just won the game stay on court but split up. Holler at me if you need clarification.
**What to Expect:**
Casual pickleball for all levels; total beginners welcome.
This venue is outdoors; if the weather turns, the event may be canceled. Please watch the event page and check your email for updates. We use public courts, and it’s not unusual to wait for court space to become available.
**What to Bring:**
* Paddle
* Balls
* Weather appropriate clothing
* Hydration
* Non-marking court shoes
**Important:** If for any reason you are unable to attend, please update your RSVP. Thanks!

Bowling for Fun and Practice
Come join us for bowling each Monday at Silva Lanes. The goal is meeting friends, having fun and even improve your scores! The price is only $2.00/game. 😁
OUR “OFFICIAL” START TIME IS 1:00. HOWEVER, as an option, you can arrive by 12:30 for “early bowling”. This option is a courtesy to those who live further away to avoid being stuck in rush hour traffic when done bowling. I arrive at 12:30. (For this reason, I indicate a 12:30 start time as part of the general event info.) I post our lane assignments in the event comments section as soon as they are provided to me.
Rental shoes are available; all bowlers must wear bowling shoes. Upon completion of each bowlers play, please go to the front desk and pay for your games (and shoe rental).
RSVPs are appreciated, as it helps to obtain enough lanes; lane availability is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Our bowlers typically play 2-4 games.
IF YOU RSVP, BUT THEN CANNOT ATTEND, PLEASE UPDATE YOUR RSVP AT LEAST 1 HOUR BEFORE OUR START TIME, OR SOONER (no later than 12:00 a.m., day of event, please). THANK YOU FOR UPDATING.
Our bowlers appreciate using standard "bowling etiquette" practices. Thanks for being polite!
For Mondays affected by a Federal holiday, on which school is typically closed, the event date will be cancelled. (On those days, it is often difficult to obtain lanes and, especially, get lanes near each other.) This is why these event dates are skipped in the Albuquerque Singles Group Events Calendar.
Hope to see you there! 😄🎳🦃🐓
Lunch and a beer at Bombs Away Beer Company
I haven't been to this place is a while so I think it's time to head back! The beer is really good. The food is, well, bar food - sandwiches, hotdogs, like that. It's good but it ain't gormet! With a couple of beers, food and a tip, you'll likely spend around $30.
There are a couple of long tables inside that seat about 10 so that's what I'm setting attendance to. If you end up on the waitlist, please check the morning of the event. Many times people drop out at the last minute. If you've RSVP'd YES and your plans change, please change your RSVP to NOT GOING. That frees up a spot for someone on the waitlist.
Hope to see you soon!
