Friday Drop-In Pickleball @ Manzano Mesa.
Friday Drop-In Pickleball @ Manzano Mesa.
Please at least be versed in the basic rules, if you are a beginner that has never played. Meet at the champion court, by the bathrooms. Even though it's drop in when you can, the earlier our members can get there, the better we have a chance of claiming more courts that are close to each other. **A Different Format - Please Read:** What does "drop-in" mean? When you RSVP to the event, you ain't gotta be there right at the start. Stop by whenever and leave when you're ready. I will be there for at least the minimum time posted. Do RSVP so I have an idea of how many to expect, and it's good for the meetup group to track participation. **Play Format:** I need yall's help to keep play fair and fluid for all members. If there are members waiting to be rotated in, the 2 players that just lost in the current game rotate out to wait in line. The first 2 players waiting in line then rotate in, and the players that just won the game stay on court but split up. Holler at me if you need clarification. **What to Expect:** Casual pickleball for all levels; total beginners welcome. This venue is outdoors; if the weather turns, the event may be canceled. Please watch the event page and check your email for updates. We use public courts, and it’s not unusual to wait for court space to become available. **What to Bring:** * Paddle * Balls * Weather appropriate clothing * Hydration * Non-marking court shoes **Important:** If for any reason you are unable to attend, please update your RSVP. Thanks!

Gung Fu Tea Experience 🍵
Gung Fu Tea Experience 🍵
Join us for Tea, in the style of a Chinese gung fu tea gathering Friday's at 5pm. Gongfu tea or kung fu tea (Chinese: 工夫茶 or 功夫茶; both gōngfū chá), literally "making tea with skill", is a traditional Chinese tea preparation method sometimes called a "tea ceremony". It is probably based on the tea preparation approaches originating in Fujian and the Chaoshan area of eastern Guangdong.

Fun & easy way to play more tennis (please read event description for details)
We’re still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches. These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome. Post your skill level and a suggested court in the comments section so we can round up as many players as we can for some tennis fun! Also, if you’re looking to meet new practice partners or play some matches and you aren’t already in the PlayYourCourt Community, you can go here to see what we’re all about and sign up: https://www.playyourcourt.com/tennis-community/albuquerque-nm/meetup/ If you love tennis, we’d love to have you! Be sure and watch the quick video that explains how everything works. Happy hitting! - Scott

By signing up for this hike you agree to the liability waiver and understand your host is a volunteer with no responsibility for your safety or level of fitness to complete this event. Link to Alltrails gpx route: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-mexico/agua-sarca-231-north-crest-130-and-del-orno-260-trail-loop DM me for gpx file if you don't have AllTrails premium. 6.9 mi distance 2683 ft gain Pace: 2 to 2.5 miles per hour This is a moderate to difficult hike because of the elevation gain. Bring: At least 2 liters of water, sack lunch, layers, poles if you use them, an extra pair of shoes and plastic bag in case it's muddy. A traction device such as microspikes will be helpful for any lingering snow patches on uppermost portion. Dogs: Please leash up at snack and lunch breaks. Meet at Tin Can Alley, near Whataburger side of the parking lot, to carpool to trailhead. AWD is helpful for the Tunnel Springs trailhead. Passenger cars can park lower and walk an extra .25 mile. But hopefully we can carpool. Watch comments for any inclement weather cancellations or modifications. **High winds means this event will be cancelled or postponed.** Meeting at trailhead? Please comment.

Flakes are a rarity, and we are usually notified in advance so that necessary adjustments can be made. You won't experience delays in the game due to half-committed people wandering around - we're here to play!
U Mound Loop/Copper Trailhead Loop
U Mound Loop/Copper Trailhead Loop
Last time we did this hike I somehow went tumbling down the side of the mountain and rolled over some cactus and you can imagine the rest. Time to get my revenge. The actual climb to the U Mound summit is steeper, so it will be optional and those that want to go up can, and the rest can wait below. This hike I would consider easy to moderate. It does have some beautiful views of the city. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-mexico/u-mound-loop https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-mexico/copper-trailhead-loop
Yjastros: Out of Many, One (Flamenco)
Yjastros: Out of Many, One (Flamenco)
"The National Institute of Flamenco presents Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company in *Out of Many, One*. The performance showcases five original flamenco works, each representing a distinct process of individuals connecting to a whole: Convergence, Momentum, Inheritance, Embodiment, Reconciliation. In *Elementos,* choreographed by Adrián Santana, earth, air, fire, and water converge as interdependent elements. In Sara Cano’s *Camina,* momentum unifies energy into forward motion. Inheritance links the individual to culture and tradition in invited guest artist Ricardo Moro’s *Marianas*. Embodiment integrates memory, emotion, and identity in an untitled solo work by invited guest artist Adrián Santana (Málaga, Spain), and in Ana Morales' *Taranterias*, reconciliation bridges opposing forces. *Out of Many, One* celebrates unique voices, bodies, and perspectives, bringing them together into a single, resonant experience." Come out and join me for this night of song, music and dance. Yjastros is magical! I'm in my favorite roomy seat in the balcony. \*\*DD120 (\*\*Senior tix is $27) Please note: I don't know the length of the performance time so I'm not sure if it will be over 2 hours. https://my.nmculture.org/43419/53872?utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Yjastros
